Jul 12, 2025

Bend, Oregon, is renowned for its stunning landscapes, outdoor adventures, and vibrant craft beer scene. With more breweries per capita than any other city in Oregon, it's a beer lover's paradise. Whether you're a resident or just visiting, exploring Bend's breweries is a must. Here's a local's guide to some of the best spots to sip and savor.

Deschutes Brewery: The Pioneer

No tour of Bend’s breweries is complete without a stop at Deschutes Brewery—one of the originals and still one of the best. Since 1988, they’ve been turning heads (and filling pint glasses) with bold brews and a big heart for sustainability. Their Black Butte Porter? Absolute legend.

The downtown pub is warm, welcoming, and packed with good vibes—and even better food. Seriously, the kitchen never misses. While you’re sipping your way through their seasonal and small-batch creations, keep an eye out—they’re making moves in the non-alcoholic game too, proving great taste doesn’t always need a buzz.

10 Barrel Brewing Co.: The Social Hub

10 Barrel Brewing Co. is another staple in Bend's brewery scene. With its lively atmosphere and outdoor patio, it's an ideal spot for socializing with friends while enjoying a cold pint. Known for its diverse range of beers, from IPAs to stouts, there's something for every palate.

In addition to great beer, 10 Barrel offers a delicious menu featuring classic pub fare with a twist. Pair your brew with their famous pizza or indulge in some tasty appetizers for a complete experience.

Crux Fermentation Project: A Unique Experience

If you're looking for a brewery that offers more than just great beer, head over to Crux Fermentation Project. Set in a renovated mill with stunning Cascade Mountain views, Crux has one of the best outdoor spaces in town—think food trucks, live music, and plenty of room to kick back. It also happens to be our kids’ favorite post-pickleball or post-game hangout spot (the giant lawn doesn’t hurt!).

Their beer lineup is my personal favorite in Bend, packed with experimental brews, barrel-aged gems, and a seriously impressive selection of non-alcoholic beers that taste just as good as the real deal. Not sure where to start? Go for the half-pint tasting options and sip your way through their creative menu.

GoodLife Brewing Company: Relaxed and Family-Friendly

GoodLife Brewing Company combines great beer with a laid-back atmosphere. Their spacious lawn, complete with lawn games and picnic tables, makes it an ideal spot for families and groups looking to unwind.

GoodLife's Sweet As! Pacific Ale is a must-try, offering a refreshing option for those hot summer days. With its community-focused approach, GoodLife often hosts events and fundraisers supporting local causes.

Monkless Brewing: Great Beer, Great Food, Even Better Views

Monkless Belgian Ales is a hidden gem tucked right along the Deschutes River, with a view that’s hard to beat and a location that’s super convenient—just steps from the Old Mill District. Their lineup of German-style and Belgian-inspired brews is impressively authentic, full of rich, complex flavors that transport you straight to Europe.

Pair your pint with something from their thoughtful food menu—it’s just as satisfying as the beer. Whether you're taking a break from shopping or wrapping up a river walk, Monkless is the perfect place to slow down and savor the moment.

Bend's breweries offer something for everyone, from the seasoned beer connoisseur to the casual drinker. With this guide in hand, you're ready to explore the best that Bend's craft beer scene has to offer. Cheers!
